This would be a very practical family transporter right about now. Just think about it... T his thing really takes social distancing to a whole other level, literally! Besides that, it’s also just plain cool. According to the seller, it “did” run. Which means it probably doesn’t right now. But it could! And these engines are known to be capable of 500,000+ miles, so there’s a good chance it has a lot of life left in it. You can find it here:

The best I can offer is a pallet of Crown Victoria and Chevrolet Impala oil filters

Given what used transit buses tend to go for, I think it’s probably overpriced. But, it’s pretty rare on this continent, so really no comparable sale prices to go off of. If someone wants one badly enough, they’ll basically have to buy it. Sort of how a £2000 Reliant Rialto magically becomes $10,000-$15,000 once it crosses the Atlantic.

They make epic motorhomes, provided you watch out for low bridges. There’s one in my area that some people converted into a mobile coffee shop, and it appears at lots of car shows and other large events. Or at least it did, until... Y ou know...

Best I can do is electric motors and water pumps.

Actually, I think the price seems fairly reasonable. These are iconic and beloved classic vehicles, and very large ones as well. They’re surprisingly reliable and easy to drive, too. Businesses know that they are fantastic for advertising, and because of their spacious interiors, some people even build their businesses inside them. Heck, there’s one in my area that was converted into a mobile coffee shop. You could easily argue that there’s more demand for these than for regular buses.

True, they do have an iconic appeal far beyond pure utility. This isn’t destined to be a church bus or motorhome conversion, but it’s an ideal advertising vehicle, for businesses that still have a need to advertise at the moment.

People do respond to them, the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce sold tickets for $10 just to sit in one parked stationary on the Queen Mary's deck as it sailed around Cape Horn, just so people could say they went around the cape in a bus. That's like $78 now, a lot of money for a silly novelty like that.
